Short Description

memories.io is a game poem about living.

Inspired by the idea of going “deeper and deeper,” it presents life as an abstract field of memories. As you move through the space, each experience reshapes you. With time, you accumulate understanding - and form.

What is happening?

• You float around, at first aimless, then you find your own purpose. Life is short - make the most out of it.
• The polygons are memories. They are of all shapes and colours, each with a main affiliation. You collect them to earn points, but here score represents whether you have lived your life to the fullest or not. To feel more complete, you need variety. A wider range of memories suggests a diverse and fulfilling life.
• The other circles are other people. We are not all born equal. Some have a head start. It should not make you give up though.
• The sticks and walls are obstacles along the way. Sometimes you cannot get to that moment straight away. You have to find your way to it.
• The red squares are accidents, mistakes. It is okay to fail. It is okay to forget. You can start again.
• You can discard your own memories. Sometimes it is better to let go and move on.

memories.io is a game poem about living - about growth, inequality, interruption, choice, and the slow accumulation of experience.

Over a few seconds, a life unfolds as geometry - and then it ends.
